Reducing Workload.

An Evidence Based Approach

The conference will not only demonstrate strategies that have effectively helped to reduce workload but also had measurable impact on student outcomes.
It would be great if a member of your staff could attend and hear some fantastic speakers including:

STEPHEN TIERNEY
STUART KIME
GARY JONES
JAMES TURNER (EEF)
JAMES RICHARDSON (EEF)

Our own staff will also be delivering several workshops into the research trials that they have been conducting this year in an attempt to reduce workload throughout the school.

Innovation Project

In September we will also be looking for a group of schools to work with us on pilot research projects called the Innovation Project. These projects have shown the potential for having a big impact on student progress in small trials that we have conducted and we would like to test them in a wider context. They include:

  • Direct instruction of vocabulary
  • Spacing in mathematics
  • Flash marking in English.
